What do the doctors do when you get a physical exam to leave the country?
When you have to travel overseas, your doctor will consult a special medical book that will tell him/her what medication he/she will have to give you to guard against any illnesses you may encounter when travelling outside your own country. If you are purchasing Travel Insurance (any you should) your doctor will prepare a report on your health and he/she will then forward it to your travel insurance company. This (report) will determine the amount you have to pay for the insurance. For instance, when I travelled overseas a few years ago, I had to pay an excess as I have a pre-existing medical condition.
its just like a regular Physical,they could also give you hepatitis shots,I have never been out of the country but that is what my friend had to do when he went to the Dominican republic,hope this answers your question.
