What is the smallest number that is divisible evenly by all digits 1 through 9.

the closest I can get is… 270. buts its not divisible by 7 and 8. ):

I remember the question from my secondary school education, but I honestly don’t remember the exact answer.

As near as I can recall, you had to multiply all the numbers from 1 through 9 together to get a single number that they “all” would be divisible by.

For example:

1 x 2 x 3 x 4 x 5 x 6 x 7 x 8 x 9 =

You are working with two things: division and multiplication

If I multiply 2 x 5,… I get 10. The number 10 is divisible by both 2 and 5.

If I multiply 2 x 3 x 4… I get 24. The number 24 is divisibl by 2, by 3, and by 4.

So, I think the same thing applies if you use all the number 1 through 9.

I think, in all honesty, the only reason I remembered how to do it was because the “smallest” number… what actually a very large number.
