I know how to do one on a air mat and I've been trying to do one on the ground sooo dose anyone have any tips on doing one?
I've been a gymnast for 15 years and aerials were the hardest trick for me to learn on the ground. It takes a lot of practice. All I can really say is before kicking off bend down so your knee makes a right angle and fold your upper body so its laying on your bent leg and then with your back leg kick really hard. But how I learnt how to do it on the ground was by putting an 8in mat on the floor and try landing your aerial on that. If you can successfully land your aerial on that mat a couple times then you will have no problem doing it without the mat there.
