in the space between his balls and his anus any ideas on what it can be or if its really serious I relly need to no this is my baby :/

Answer #1

If he is truley your baby, take him to the vet let them aspratite it and look at it under the miroscope to see what it is, yes it could be painful or bad depending on what it is. Take him to a vet

Answer #2

one of my friends has a yorkie, that is how I learned about that gland, so thank you twilightmom for explaining it better. I am not a dog expert but I did remember hearing about that gland. yes- the anal gland- that is what it sounds like. follow twilightmoms advice and the vet should get it taken care of.

Answer #3

This could very well be a hernia. My dog developed one at birth. Let the Vet know and exam him/her. Could very well be nothing. They do have surgical procedures to correct it. My Yorkie was fine and did not pass this trait onto his pups.

Answer #4

I believe they have a “gland” there, when you take him in to have him groomed they usually will empty that gland- before shaving his butt.

don’t know any more than that- how to drain it , you may be able to find information on the net about that gland and how to take care of it.

Answer #5

I think its probably his prostate gland. Has he been “humpin around”!? Sometimes my male dachsund gets to doin the humpty dance (as much as he can after being neutered) with our little female. The first time I called the vet I was frantic couldn’t think of what could be wrong. Give it a little time and check again! If its the prostate then it should shrink down with a little time!! {=

Answer #6

it mite be a sist. my dog have 2 of those. just make sure its not cancerous. get it checked out. my dog did and there not cancerous

Answer #7

could be a toumour(sp?), sist, or maybe it even could be a big ball of matt lol my pomeranine gets hairs balls all the time. thats how I can tell when he needs a trip to the groomers. :)

Answer #8

Usually the anal glands (that what you rtalkin bout Baldwinwolf). Is right inside and slightly to both sides of the anus. Their “scent” they put out when “putting out” is to mark territory and let other dogs know they’ve been there. Kind of a stinky way to say “hey, wassup! I came avisiting!” Didn’t think too hard when I answered, the prostate gland if near the end of the shaft of the penis (or penis outercover, since theirs is inside?). Baldwinwolf may be on to something I think you are probably describing the anal glands. Sometimes they become full and they can’t excrete the scent. Just take him to the vet to have them expressed. Of course, have them check him over to be sure that is what is wrong.

Answer #9

definatly not a mat I brush him everyday and wash him twice a week I checked its defiatly a skinny lump

Answer #10

Any lump or bump that simply “appears” on your dog, needs to be seen by a vet…An infected anal gland is horrendously painful…dogs with testies are also more prone to cancer…

Get him into the Vet!!
