Where to start looking for my father?

I would like to find my father and do not know where to start. He was last heard of in the U.S.A in the 1960s. Can you advice me how to look, using the internet? I cant afford to pay for my search. Are there any free services that might help me?

Thank you Yasmin

It’s pretty hard trying to find someone without the whole paying thing. They get you so far…and you’re so close to finding them and then they say ‘To contact this person you need to buy a yearly membership’.

But.. try: www.192.com/peoplesearch.cfm www.peoplesite.com/ http://people-finder.com/

You may need to pay for them though =/

Good luck =]

I wish you the best luck in your search. My mother helped me look for my father by paying on some site. I don’t remember the name but after a search we discovered he had already passed away a few years prior. I just want you to be prepared for anything as it was devastating to both of us.

if you know his birth date and his name thats all you need try googleing and see most recent posts if you can try to find someone close to him and contact them they should lead you to him but there are other methods online there are some sites that will find him for a fee of about $30 they will not give out to much personal info though just a phone number city he lives in and maybe name of a spouse

try things like friends reunited website and also type in tracing family in google or something… good luck
