Having a dream and know that you are in a dream and it's not real

Has anyone ever had a dream and while you are having your dream you know it’s a dream?

Like sometimes when I’m having a very good dream after a while while I’m in my very good dream I be like man this dream is not even real while I’m still in the dream?

Or like every time I have a bad dream and when somone is chasing me and trying to kill me while I’m running lol I realize that this isn’t real and I know that if I let them catch me I wake up and I do wake up when they get me but when I have to do that I’m like but I’m scared I don’t want to let them get me but I just do it to wake up from the bad dream?

Has this happened to anyone?

I have that.intead of screaming,I shake my head hard or I won’t wake up.Then I wake up.It feels likea million pounds just shaking my head a little.It’s weird.

Yes it has. But my dreams trap me in. I try to scream and wake myself to wake up but it doesn’t work. It doesn’t happen to many people, your actually the only person I know it happens to also. I guess we are just…special. In an…odd way.

Aha, I have that :p I can change my dream when I want to. So if my dreams a lil boring or I don’t like it, I think of something else like ‘’I want wings, I want wings’’ and I’ll start flying :) It’s amazing, it’s the closest things us humans have to magic I guess :S That and love XD Also when I wake up and I’m still half asleep, I can close my eyes and start dreaming again, still half concious and aware of my surroundings. I can tell when it happens because I get a ringing sound in my ears and I sorta like…feel heavier :) I get wht you mean, I tell some people and they say they don’t even have dreams. I pity them XD It’s awesome :3
