Yes you can change your name with parental consent, given that they named you and it’s kinda a slap in the face, why would you want to? oh and you’re an adult at 18… (you just cant drink till 21, I know, it’s kinda stupid), so you can do it then without parental consent…

when your 21 I think… (basically when you’re majority, so 18 in canada, 21 in the US) but consider for the sake of your parents, keeping your name as a secon first name. they chose it for a reason, and a name with a meaning, like yours, might mean something to them. you could also talk to your parents about changeing it. if they agree you could start the process now, it’ll probably take about a year. another option is what my friend did, he has a really ethnic name, and couldn’t stand it, so he came up with a nickname for himself and asked everyone to call him it. and it worked for him. last option: my other friend loved her second name, hated her first, so she asked her everyone to call her by her second name. and it stuck
