Why is it so hard for me to find a job?

I’m a certified welder who went to school, and I’m a convicted felon and have not been in trouble in 10 years, but when I put that I’m a convicted felon employers refuse to hire me, why is this so? Do they think people can’t change or they don’t expect them to change and make an honest living?

it could be against their policy i know thats like harsh but it could be against what they want in their employees. but thats not every company…another thing is maybe your looking in the wrong places for the job. try going to places you dont no much about the company or try to just get an interview right away or try to talk with a manager when you pick up an application. or something like that. be aggressive too dont sit around waiting for a phone call, a couple days after you hand in your application call them see what is going on, see if they are still hiring do not wait for them all the time.
