Does cutting your ends make your hair grow longer?

if you have dead ends your hair cant grow as fast because it is unhealthy …so if you have dead ends YES

yeah, I’m pretty sure that cutting it doesn’t have that effect. hair cells are dead…so cutting them wouldn’t do anything. now if you were to put something on to the roots…like vitamin e or take prenatal vitamins, that encourages hair to grow faster because it’s effecting the part of the hair that is still alive.

depending on the person it makes it grow faster because you dont have all the dead ends on it, but all in all your hair will still be healthy even if you get a trim!! about every other month is good

If you have a lot of split ends and you do not cut it, the split ends with continue spreading until it reaches the scalp (this is over a long period of time and damages you hair in the result). If you want to grow your hair out, I recommend going to the hair dresser to skim your hair every 6 to 8 weeks. Skimming your hair only removes the ends of your hair. If you trim it, they will cut between one to two inches off and it will take longer for you hair to grow out. Also, if you are worried about your ends damaging over time, you should invest in a saloon (or generic from a Sally’s Beauty Supplies or from Suave) shampoo and conditioner to protect your hair.

no nothing makes yor hair grow faster or longer cutting thre ends has no affect on the ROOTS of your hair which is were your hair grows from your hair grows at aslow rate, and nothing will make it grow faster,m or longer than its maxi mum length but if you have split ends, it helps split ends weaken the hair, the longer you have them for, the more longer theyll nreak in half and hair thats broken in half cant grow back together trimming split ends will stop them from damaging the rest of your hairs length allowing it to grow notrmally and healthily intead of in half but apart from that, it does NOTHING to quicken or lengthen your hair it just helps keep it healthy
