Is it okay to go to the gyno, at fifteen, with a shaved pubic region?
Because I shave, so I don’t have to deal with pesky problems in that region, and because it just works better for me. I’d just like to know if that’s okay at the GYNOCOLOGISTS OFFICE. I don’t like to be judged.
Yes, it is ok. The gynecologist has seen it all and heard it all and a shaved v@gina (even on a teen) is just another part of the job. You don’t even have to explain yourself. Many girls do it for health reasons and not just for sex. Don’t worry about it.
I asked my doctor about hair “down there” when I was a teen. She said that she actually prefers shaven over unshaven, and that some people’s hair gets in the way and makes it difficult for her to see everything that she needs to see. So, yes, it is ok. :)
