What should I say to my sexist teacher?

I have the same problem in my Sociology class with my male teacher. He asked me to give in a 100 word essay and it involved about males being more dominant in the 1950’s ish. I stated that females, scientifically are proved to be more intelligent than males. That is a well known fact… he threw it in the bin (i take it he didn’t like that quote).

Some teachers can be like this, perhaps something affected them like this when they were younger, or some are just like brick walls and see it in only their perspective. However I think you should take this up with the head of department, principal, parents and maybe another teacher you trust. See what all of them say, if they dismiss it then I think it is something you need to report to the board of govenors. They will hopefully take action, but if they do not, then a formal letter would be appropiate.
