What is the best way to take gross crushed up meds with sugar?

actually the reason i crushed it- is im unable to swallow it whole. logical ,don’t you think? … thanks anyways

Most doctors recommend putting crushed up medicine into half a serving of applesauce and taking it that way.

hmm thats a good idea! it would go down easier i think. ill put this stuff and try it! ill let you know if it works.. lol

that is why i cut mine in half as well…smaller to swallow…less of the after taste! Crushing it no matter in what always leave that annoying irritating after taste…and with years of experience trying it in so many ways i have found that this way is best for me…maybe another way would be better for you!

k. applesauce idea no good. :( i gagged so hard it was sooooo gross. is there a specail way you gotta put it in or somethin

I couldn’t swallow pills when I was a kid. When I went to the hospital for an appendectomy at 5 the nurses mixed my crushed pills with a teaspoon of jam. I remember them still tasting bad but I managed to get them down.

One caution I’d add is that not all pills can be safely divided or split. Splitting or crushing time release pills usually defeats the time release mechanism causing the drug to get into your system too quickly.

I would check with a pharmacist or doctor before splitting or crushing any medication. In general any scored pill can be split or crushed but I’d still check to be sure.

I looked it up online, and lots of sites say it is safe to crush. ^^ I only have to take these nasstyyyyy mixture 6 mores times..
