What grade do I need to get on my final exam?

I have a 60% in the class and I need to have a 70% at the end The exam is worth 10% of my overall grade. I feel like this is a fifth grade math problem but I totally forget how to calculate it. Help pleasee

Unless I’m misunderstanding your question you simply can’t raise your grade from 60% to 70% with a final exam worth 10% of your grade. You should ask your instructor if there is any way you can earn some extra credit.

Simply cannot be done. If you get 100% on your exam, your final grade will be 64%. So you can get no higher than 64% unless your teacher is willing to give extra credit or somehow your exam marks are bell-curved.
