Goth or no

I remember a few days ago, someone I usually hang out with at lunch said I should back to being Goth,I told them I once was. They told me that because I’m a very dark person when it comes to most of the things I do,and because I constantly wear nothing but black, but I don’t want to be a poser,so should I just go back to being a Goth again?

No negative answers please!

Answer #1

Be yourself. There is actually no such thing as goths anymore. That ended in the 90’s. These days it’s a weird hybrid of punk and metal. Emo not so much. Emo = wrong.

Answer #2

be yourself and then everything else will fall into place. you dont have to have a label, dress how YOU want. If you want to dress gothic then dress gothic it’s not up to anyone else but yourself. ignore your friends and make up your own mind!

I know how it feels! I wear a lot of black and some funny shirts (only 2 don’t worry) but my hair is black as well and everybody looks at me like I am going to kill them, but they know I am funny and a really nice person. Then I get on the bus and this, stupid lil’ kid thinks it’s funny to start calling me monster and hide behind his backpack. The kid is 5 years younger than me and I thought I was more afraid of him to be honest. But I don’t let people push me down, because if they think I am scary, then I will be scary and push the fukker off!

...but really in my school, goth is a popular thing because all of my friends

popular and non are goth!

gothic people wear all black and call themselves goth hanging out at gothis clube, ect just because someone wears black or all black , doesn not make them goth and just because people are goth, doesnt make them a poser there are thousands of sterotypes the only people who are posers are people prentending to be what there not, just because its an in fad/trend and they think it makes them cool, and other people will think its cool if you want to be goth, be goth if you dont, dont you can still wear all blackj and not put a label on yourself

This doesn’t really answer your question, but it reminds me of when I’d just finished high school and I had black hair and wore really dark eye makeup which stood out against my naturally porcelin skin. I was studying to be a makeup artist and I soon noticed none of the girls would come near me. Then I found out it was because they thought I was some scary goth. I was like “Huh? No!” I didn’t even know much about the whole ‘goth’ thing but people made that assumption from how I looked. Was kind of funny how they were nice to me when they realised I was a sweet and innocent girl like them haha.

hey…I use black now …my hair is black and everything I thats on me…my make up is black…but let me tell you this…I look sexy…not just black…I feel realy good about how I look…there is only one answer to this…if you feel like bing goth…do it…if not…dont…it dont metter how you look…only how you feel about it…and if thous people are your true friends…they wont even tell you to change…they will tell you “ you look good in anything,” they would tell you everything I just told you…good luck.

Well, my advice to you is BE YOURSELF. Don’t worry about what anyone else thinks. As long as your happy with yourself, that’s all that matters. But I will tell you this, there’s a hell of a lot more to being goth than wearing all black. And by asking if you should “go goth” you may seem like a poser so be careful people don’t get the wrong idea.
