Got my belly piercing

if it gets infected soak the piercing in sea salt and make sure your hands are clean also try to use antibacterial soap without a perfume smell to clean it

I was going to get mine pierced…but I was affraid it would get ripped out playing sports..I was also affraid it would get infected too.

I would put tape over it so it doesnt get infected. then stop taping it once it I fully healed.

did it hurt? I want mine done so bad. ugh..

if you dont already have it, buy clear dial soap and wash it every day, morning and night. it shouldnt get infected if you clean if often, and I know you will want to play with it a lot, but the fastest way to spread bacteria is by touching it, because there are a lot of germs on your fingers, so try not to mess with it that much. I have my belly button pierced twice… my first piercing, it never got infected and, to be honest, I never cleaned it. Obviously, in the shower, it cleaned up, but that’s it, besides putting salt water on it occasionally. my second piercing healed up fine, but 8 months after I got it done, a friend hit it the wrong way and it got infected… there wasn’t anything I could do. in the end, it had to be taken out. just concentrate on making sure it doesn’t get caught, or that nothing hits it the wrong way. and if it does get infected, go to your doctor, not your piercer. your doctor might be able to prescribe you an antibiotic cream to help.
