Who uses Google Adsense?
About how much do you make from it? I know everyone probably makes different amounts, I just want an idea of how much I could make.
My college’s newspaper used adsense - it was enough to buy us alcohol for a staff party at the end of every year, so about 150 to 250 $$. Not very much at all, in other words.
Context of the site: The paper was read by a smallish-college (3000 students) and the surrounding tiny town (couple more thousand) as it was the official town archive paper as well. We got a few hundred hits a day unless we had some really popular story when hits would really spike and almost everybody would be reading it (especially since we never printed that many paper copies).
As in, it still uses adsense, but I’m not on staff :p
$150-$250 a year…or month? :O
The largest q&a site (wiki answers) uses Adsense, and if you read through their published SEC filings, you’d see 86% of their income or so comes from a “single source”….if you browse their site, it’s obvious that’s from adsense.
Considering they’re a publicly traded company…and make millions per quarter, sure, it’s possible to make a TON of money on adsense. Of course, it varies depending on your traffic…if you have more traffic, it’s easier to make money. Less traffic, it’s much, much harder.
