make sure you have a good quality big suitcase, preferable one thats different or brightly coloured or at least get a unique name tag for it so you can identify it amongst everyones luggage. only pack what you need for the trip important things are clothes and personal hygine things like pads, toothbrush, ect you cant bring antyhing sharp onto a plane, they dont always allow certain make-up untensils or anything that could be onsidered a weapon. pack appropriatly for the country your going to and he weather, maybe research there customs some countries will actully consider killing you for wearing makeup, so you really want to dress and pack appropriatly for the place your going what you pack also depends on how long your staying there for
Buy "vacuum seal" bags. You can put a bunch of clothes in them and then either vacuum or push the air out. They don't all need vacuums. These make more room in your suitcase but make sure it won't be overweight. These bags make it easier to go over the weight limit because you can fit more stuff in your suitcase. But if you have a small suitcase definately use them.
