Why do gnats fly around in groups not going anywhere?

because they dont like eing loners so they are trying to follow each other but none of them no where to go.

The hovering is actually part of the mating cycle of the species. Usually the male gnats are the ones that are hovering awaiting the female gnats.

Until you interview a knat, you don’t know if they’re going anywhere or not….maybe they live in a VERY small world?
