Why are girls usually secretive about their periods?

Because most of the time you get the reaction…ughhhh, like it’s some contagious disease and abnormal.

Because it has been shunned in the past and is only now being accepted these past centuries.

idk exactly why but prob cuz it gets some girls moody and if they yell or something ppl mite say something; idk lol

to the ‘secrective’ thing : well mostly to girls its just and awkward subject

to the ‘why did she tell me’ : well was she being rude or cranky and when you got upset about her attitude she said “sorry iits cause im PMSing!” or sumthing cause then she was just telling you the reason she was like angry and stuff…

For the longest time having your period was considered “unclean” and was somthing to be ashamed and ambarassed about. Fortunately, society is growing up and realizing its a completely natural thing and nothing to be embarrassed about at all. Your best friend probably tellls you when she has her cause thats what best friends do, they share private things with each other.

Most people find blood gushing out of a fanny pretty gross.

i dont know about you but its quite the opposite at my school. we dont like tell everyone, but when i or anyone else is talking about it (girl to girl) we could really care less if the guys hear us. its quite funny actually. i guess it just shows how close our class is. (all scince kindergraden) lol

I’ve been sexually abused throughout my life. That mixed with other things causes me to be extremely secretive about that and other things. That could easily be another girl’s story.

lets see how you feel about announcing to everyone that your womb is cleaning itself out because there were no baby cells in it, so therefore blood is pouring into your knickers onto a pad that you have put there so that you don;t drip blood everywhere and then on top that that the excruitiating pain that nothing will stop AND your hormones going crazy, that pretty much explains why we are secretive about it
