Why do some girls think they are really pretty when really they aren't?

its all up to perspective.

Its what I always say. Beautiful girls think they’re ugly, and it makes them more beautiful inside. Ugly girls think they’re beautiful, and it makes them ugly inside because truthfully everyone has beauty, its the way they think of their beauty that changes them though.

Every girl should think themself as beautiful,even if you don’t think they are and they shouldn’t matter what everyone else thinks either :]

Because they need to have confidence, and when you look good, it makes you feel good too. and everyone’s got different opinions. you could think someone is really pretty while your friend thinks their really ugly.

my question is: What is pretty? Who is the person who determined what that word is? Media has a huge pull on what everyone should think pretty is. But in reality everyone has a different perspective on pretty. you may not think that girl is pretty, but someone else may think she’s gorgeous. Or her parents have always told her she’s beautiful.

Do looks even matter if they take care of themselves? Beauty comes from within.

I’m hoping you phrased this wrong, I don’t mean to try and correct you and all but maybe you’re referring to the narcissistic and conceited girls? If that is not the case then that’s really shallow that your main judgment of a person is based solely on their looks and not something that has more impact.

That’s based on your opinion. You might think someone is ugly while I think their pretty. I base beauty off of how a person acts. I had a friend that I and many other people though was absolutely gorgeous. We moved in together and she started to show her true colors which were horrible. The ugliness that was inside her started to show on the outside and she became hideous to me. But to answer your question, they may just be really confident in themselves. Every girl should see herself as beautiful. There’s a difference between being confident and being conceited.

Because media and their peers tell them that they should look a certain way or be a certain weight, and they believe it. They don’t feel beautiful unless they meet societies so called ‘standards’. But, as others said, it’s all up to perspective.

They probobly just have a good feeling about themselfs, They keep themself with high self confidence, what’s wrong with that? I acchually admire those people that say they are perty, they are doing a good this to theirselfs.

Wrong. Im not saying that at all. No girl is ugly. But beauty comes from within. So obviously Im talking about their beauty on the inside. If a girl can accept and deal with her outter looks then it makes her more beautiful. If a girl primps herself up to become concieted, thinking she’s all that, she becomes ugly and her outter looks fade. Therefore the girls may be pretty, but if they’re ugly within then it portrays them as ugly outside as well.

there just this girl who think she every think who think she better than every one and say that i got dumped for some one so much better lookin than me which isnt true she just got it stuck in her head that he dump me for her and no one think she good lookin tho cos she very tarty and stuck up
