Do all girls pluck their eyebrows? Are we supposed to?

I noticed I have a few eyebrow hairs that are waaaaay out of place. What are the chances of anyone noticing them? Can I pluck them myself? I thought about shaving the stray hairs. Would that be a bad idea?

Do all girls pluck their eyebrows? No not all, I didn’t even start til later. Are you supposed to? No. You can do whatever you want to your eyebrows, or don’t do anything with them at all if you don’t want to. No, you don’t have to. Be careful when plucking yourself, don’t over-pluck. Make sure you have a good idea what you want. It really isn’t difficult. As for shaving, I definitely would not recommend that.

In the 1980’s model Brook Shields made news when she had bushy eyebrows since at the time fashionable women carefully trimmed and shaped their brows. Fashions change over time. In the 1930’s women wore their brows thin, arched, and high; in fact some women would shave their own eyebrows and draw a brow in above theirs with an eyebrow pencil. After Brook Shields most women still shaped their brows but a fuller and more natural looking brow became fashionable. Most women I know pluck and shape their brows. As they say, fashion is for people who have no personal style. You should develop your own look that suits your face and your own sensibilities and stick with it rather than follow the whims of fashion.
