Why don't girls bleed to death?

how can girls lose so much blood for 7 days every month without bleeding to death? im a girl and this is a serious question X) im super curious. thanks!

Answer #1

The blood your losing is just a lining inside your uterus that your body builds up, and then loses every month or so. It’s not like it’s a cut.

Answer #2

The amount loss is actually quite minimal, and besides that, the blood isn’t coming from an open wound - it’s just the uterine lining.

Answer #3

Because we don’t loose as much blood as you assume we do. A girl usually looses about 30ml’s that’s it.

Answer #4

mmm… as “serious” as you’d like for someone to answer this question… I’ve never actually thought of the situation in your way :P well, a period is a type of internal bleeding, but it’s one that’s necessary for a female in order for her to be able to reproduce. you do loose an amount of blood, but your body produces more after your cycle to balance it out i assume :)

Answer #5

Natural design.

Answer #6

because people (girls) think we loose a lot but we dont loose as much as poeople (girls) think

Answer #7

Most girls only lose about a tablespoon of blood during period. Also it is your uterus lining that sloughs of, not a wound that is bleeding. Once the lining is finished so to say the blood stops.
