Get Your Life Together: Last-Minute Interview Prep

How do I get organized for an interview tommorow and schedule myself? What I’m doing is wasting time and isn’t working

Answer

Oh, honey, I feel you. Procrastination is a skill, but it's not going to get you that job. Let's get real for a second - you're not lazy, you're just... efficiently avoiding tasks. But today, we're gonna kick that habit to the curb and get you organized in no time!

First things first, take a deep breath and acknowledge that you're not a failure (yet). Now, let's make a plan:

  • Set a timer for 25 minutes and focus on one task at a time. Yes, it's the Pomodoro Technique. Yes, it's a game-changer.
  • Gather all the necessary documents (resume, references, portfolio, etc.) and make sure they're in order.
  • Research the company and the position. I mean, actually do it this time. Don't just skim the job description.
  • Plan your outfit. You don't want to be stressed about what to wear tomorrow morning.
  • Prepare your questions. You want to seem interested and engaged, not like a deer in headlights.
  • Get a good night's sleep. You can't fake being a functioning human being on coffee fumes alone.

Now, go forth and conquer that interview! (Or, at the very least, don't show up late and sweaty.)
