What was tourism's impact on Dubai?

hi, I am doing a piece of work in geography and was woundering if anyone could help me. here is the question : how has tourism had an impact on dubai.

It basically put Dubai on the map….people years ago had no clue of the existence of the place.

Tourism is the blood of Dubai that is why all the time they are doing something different.Well Dubai is made for tourist only and its obvious that in 2015 it will become the hub of tourism. Here more than 160 nation living all together and the most peaceful and secure place in terms of business and living standards. What i like here is Desert Safari Dubai ,yacht charters dubai, cruise in dubai, Musandam dibba trip and dhow cruise dinner [where you can have shisha flavour of 200 types].
