what do you think about genetic engineering going to killing people?

genetic engineering, look it up if you dont know what it is. i think that ppl are going to get to curious with it and there going to create something to kill off people. idk it was just a thought that came to my head as i was i was watching the news where they were taliking bout genetic engineering

Oh that. We talk about this in science class. Altho it would help people with diseases, it is also somewhat dangerous and unpredictable. i wouldnt advise anyone doing this unless they were very desperate

yeah i was reading this articile about it and it was saying that scienctist might create a human thats smarter then everyone and kill us idk like i kinda believe that 2012 is going to kill earth but i think series of events are going to take place before it does and i know. like all the earth quakes and the volcano explosion and gulf coast oil spill like all that happened in 2010 ya know. ah i just think to much lol idkk

well as for me I work in a organic health food store and yes the hormones and gen engineering has not been tested long enough to know. Try this experiment if you are lactose try drinking organic milk and your problems are solved ( mine were)

Im sure Mandyloo knows what genetic engineering is, what she is saying is the way you have phrased your question makes no sense. As for the 2012 thing, I highly doubt that is going to happen, let alone have anything to do with genetically modified humans. For one thing, it is illegal at this point in time, and even if that changed before 2012, its not like a genetically modified baby is going to grow up in two seconds and go on a rampage that destroys the world. All babies take time to grow up, even the non-existant genetically engineered ones. We are not living in a bad science fiction movie.

Uhm mandyloo is right, the question makes no sense. You read an article? An article suggests that there was research behind it. And that the person is being backed by a reputable publishing source. What you read sounds like some sort of conspiracy theorist with serious delusions (who writes bad sci fi books). People cant even get their act together about stopping an oil leak, and you think we’re going to create a super human race? And for some reason this super human race is crazy and is going to go on a killing spree, and all the other humans will have gone stupid and forget how to use weapons, wow, I wouldnt even go watch a movie with a plot that bad. Volcanoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, i.e. all natural disasters have been occurring for millions of years. I dont think they’re any sign of impending disaster. As for the oil spill, that too unfortunately is not unique. 2010 has not been particularly disastrous as far as years go.

oh and the likelihood of this happening in 2012 is about the same likelihood of them bringing alive dinosaurs who will then go on rampages and destroy all the cities (Godzilla anyone?).

genetic engineering is becoming more know to try to cure people from genetic disease not kill off people. get that conspiracy out, genetic engineering is aimed at curing people. granted not every genetic engineering experiment is aimed at that some is aimed to create certain traits in things. but not to kill people off

look it was just a thought that came to my head and the way i worded it prob makes no sense but idk how else to put it. if i put it in another way it wouldnt come up as a question. im not saying just humans like maybe they will create a pig or a cow and kill it to use there meat then us humans will eat the meat and it could cause a diease of some sort. the government hides ALOT of stuff from the public, and if youve heard of illuminati you will get and idea of where im coming from. and have you guys ever heard of hidden messages in movies and songs. next time you watch a movie or listen to a song try to find a hidden meaning behind and see why they created it.

genetic engineering, even for the good of science, is a no no. killing ppl isn’t worth it!!! if scientists develop a safe way to do so and the person agrees to be tested on then maybe. The whole cloning and genetic engineering thing is in my opinion morally wrong!!!
