Friends & boys = bad mix. What do I do?

I really don’t have a clue whats going on in my head atm. I really like my boy mate. My friend thinks he likes me too. Sometimes I get the vibe he does and othertimes it feels like he hates me. I don’t have a clue where I stand with him. Another problem is a really close friend of mine likes him too. I think she likes him more than I do. She’s already in a relationship with someone but, she thinks if my boy mate liked her too she’d split up with her current boyfriend. Her current relationship is making her unhappy and I really care about her and want things to work out for her. I haven’t told her about my feelings for him. She regularly talks to me about him and I keep telling her to keep trying with him but it’s killing me the thought of them getting together. He confided in me he doesn’t like her like that. I told her but I don’t think she’s going to give up. I know I’m being a really bad friend and a horriable person. I’m not sure what to do about the whole thing…is there anything I can do?
