  If you look in the Friends Activities you see it will say what your friends are doing,like if someone commented a friend of yours,it shows up in that area same with answering someone els's question or if a friend asked a question. When someone adds YOU it will say "funadvice added thedude as a friend". That's how you'll know.

  I memorised my list and its quite easy ... only added two people Yummeh and Colourofme. ;)

  when people add me I can see the number next to "my friend" list so when the number increases, I sent a comment to say "thanks" to the person who added me :)

  You get notifications sent to your email if you have the option enabled.

  Because you're only 13, you should receive notifications by default so you have to actually accept a friend invitation - unless you turned that off.
