How would food color affect your choice for food?

Do you get picky when you see food with odd colors mixed into it? Say, for example, food with purple and green blended together? What if this, purple and green glob turns out to be the sweetest thing ever!

Would you let food color affect your choice? :O

Answer #1

That’s what I rely on to determine how good the food is going to taste.. also the smell.. if it smells good and looks good, I’ll give it a try .. .if it’s booger-green and smells like rotten toe jam, I’ll pass. :P

Answer #2

Sure about that Moe? :O Jello is green and globby!

Answer #3

But it’s not booger green! haha but anyway, I hate jello. :P The texture makes me gag.. :(

Answer #4

It jiggles!!! What food do you know can do with that?!

Answer #5

What about eggs? They’re gunky at times!

Answer #6

Answer #7

Answer #8

What about eggs? They’re gunky at times!

Answer #9

Moe! Don’t you remember the good ol’ tune “green eggs and ham”? Gotta love it :P

Answer #10

I love rice, potatoes and pickles. lmao. :P

Answer #11

Pickles…?! ICK! How can you stand to be around those?!

Answer #12

Blue is actually an appetite suppressant, so blue foods don’t sell well. There are full studies about how certain colors make foods seem better tasting than others. A lot of times design students have to learn about that so they don’t decorate a dining room incorrectly. Colors are more impacting than you’d think. The colors for this website alone were thoroughly considered prior to creation. It’s crazy that something as simple as a hue will impact so much, but it does :)

Answer #13

Blue supresses apetite. Red makes you more hungrier. It can also be a difficulty putting fresh fruits and healthy options for them so if you make it colourful then the food will look more appealing.

Answer #14

Lol, it happens =) That’s why they say “don’t judge a book by it’s cover”, right? Actually i think i would base my food on texture. In this case though,(because it’s just food) i would definitely pass on somthing a saw that was purple and green!! >=0

Answer #15

have you heard of “you eat with your eyes” ? its like Lindsey said blue tends to make people not want it but red and orange colours make you hungry they do that to manufactured foods :|
