What is the font called where you write out words using pictures?

  I dont really know how else to explain it so here is a picture. its called something like kino-alphabet or something along those lines. thanks for all your help.

  i guess im going at this the wrong way. its not so much a font as it is a way of writing. does that make better since?

  The most common one is wingdings but it could also be bondoni ornaments or apple symbols, depends on your computer ;)

  not quite. I mean like you draw pictures, then use the first letter from each picture to make a word.
