Ok, well, someone who had to learn how to walk after a c-section must not have been able to walk very well before. The point is, there isn’t anything anyone can say to make you less scared. Birthing your first child is entering into a world you are not familar with. A thousand woman could you tell their experiences with giving birth to their first and they would all be different. You will soon have a birthing story to tell and all the woman in the world who have given birth whether it is a smooth-sailing 30 minute labor two-push no stitches story or 100 hours of labor 10 hours of pushing ripping from hole to hole, they all end with the same thing; it was all worth it when I looked into my baby’s eyes for the first time. You will be anxious and nervous and scared but women have been doing this since the beginning of time. Our bodies were built for this. My scar may be ugly, but I am not ashamed. To me it is not a scar, it is a mark of honor. Like a sealed passage way to life. I have experienced both, vaginal delivery two times and 3 c-sections. The scariest part is this is something you have never done and the uknown is always very frightful. Good luck and congratulations. Your life is about to become so much better.

You know each person’s body holds a baby differently, but I do know that usually the first labor for the first child is usually a little longer. My first labor was 23 hours, and I had a c-section, my advice, although the ceserean is a quick relief for the pain, but the after effects are terrible, you have to learn how to walk all over again, but, with natural birth, you feel good. It actually took me a couple of months for the ceserean to heal due to the scar, it gets infected, and it’s hard for you to care for the baby. But good luck, either way it goes, things will turn out fine for you, just breathe…

As other have said, everyone is different. Some women are in labor for just a couple of hours, other women may be in labor for more than 24 hours.

well i dont wanna scare you but my friends baby took 34 hours to come out finally ..uum every womans different and if i were you i would try to do a natural birth not ceserean because problems can happen like infection or your left with a bad scar i have to worry about it to and so do other women in the worls so your not alone..if i were you i wouldnt be nervous because doctors have been perfecting this subject for centuries and with the technology and medicine we have now in days i dont think we have to worry as much as the people of the past had to..good luck :)

It may be quick, but it might also take all day. I had my baby naturally, so I dont really know how long it takes for the cut on a ceserean to heal.

Congratulations!!:)
