If there's a fire and you have a pet fish will you try to save your fish?

Answer #1

Honestly I have a 10 gallon aquarium and two 10cent feeder fish, i’m not going to risk my life to save some fish that might possible die the next day. My cats and dogs are a different story though.

Answer #2

I agree with Mackenzie,I wouldn’t risk my life so I would save myself first.but fish live in water, who knows they would safely saved hehhehe XD

Answer #3

I can buy another fish if I could live another day…

Answer #4

I would save my fish if I wasn’t in immediate danger. An animals an animal, and they all deserve to live in my opinion.

Answer #5

Yes - all life is precious and worthy of a chance, even if it means risking my own.

Answer #6

I would try, but I would not risk my life. I would not risk my life for my cat either. I have too many responsibilities with my family. I have a disabled brother and mother I take care of. If I risked my life for an animal, there would be no one to care for them and the government would have to step in. They would probably end up in homes of some sort, and that is the LAST thing I would want. All life is precious, I couldn’t agree more. So is mine. Expecting me to risk it for an animal when I may leave family members behind is foolish imo.

Answer #7

ive got goldfish that are 14 years old so yeah, i would.

Answer #8

I had a Fancy Gold Fish that was worth about $200. Though I had insurance, I would still have tried.

Answer #9

To be honest, they wouldn’t be the first thing I grabbed and tried to save. I would get my boyfriend first, then my mother, my father, our dogs…THEN if we had fish, I would get them. Although I believe all life is precious and deserves a chance, like Colleen said, I feel that there are some lives more important than others…meaning if I had to choose which to save, human or fish…I would choose human.

Answer #10

If the fish could be saved without risking their own lives I suppose.

My favorite fish was a large black lace angelfish that I had over 4 years but truthfully if there was a fire he would be pretty low on my priority of what to save. When I was going through my divorce my ex- locked me out and not knowing how to take care of the aquarium put my fish down including my big angelfish.

Answer #11

If I am about to get killed in that fire, the fish can die for all I care.

Answer #12

Fish dont live for long, honetly i would not even try to save them. My dog and cat i would totally save tho. i actually have a bonded relationship with them

Answer #13

Hmmm, not sure. I’ve never had a fish. But I risked my life this morning for my cat (running outside during the biggest thunder and lightning storm in NZ to look for him….) so if it were my cat, of course :P

Answer #14

Aw! =)

Answer #15

I think I’ve heard of fish living through some pretty disastrious situations but I’m thinkin’ that if I had everything else I wanted out first then I would try to save my little blue betta… :-)

Answer #16

I love these questions coz they make u think. Ive been reading this book called your child or the dog and in it it discusses who you would save in a fire. If it came down to it, the human is most likely to save their child. However, it then asks, who would you save, a dog or a strangers child. Again, the person is most likely to save the strangers child. Finally, it asks who would you save, a million dogs or the one child. And once again, the person would save the child because it is thought of as more valuable to save them rather than the million dogs. It’s not up to us to decide what is right or wrong to do, but it does make you think… why not save the dog,the fish, the rabbit- what makes them any less important than a human, they live and breathe dont they??

Answer #17

Aww:( I feel so bad 4 saying this but i’d let it die… I dnt think i’d even try. My fish die all the time.
