What do you when you find out what your birthday present and its an expensive gift you dn't want?

How do I tell my parents I want them to return it when I open it on my birthday?

Answer #1

you dont neceessarily have to force them to return it…yes i say that is a good behaviour your asking your parents not to pay lots of money for B-day … tell them and let them know what you truly mean …at the same time thank them and be happy about it because that is what they expected when they were about to buy it for you =) good luck and Happy birthday

Thats what i’ve been trying all my life…. They always buy me stuff super expensive even though I say i’ll never use that, I don’t need that, or I don’t want a birthday present. But every birthday & Christmas thats what I get. & the worst part is when I don’t use it they get angry & say we spend a lot of money on that so use it or your grounded and obviously I get grounded cause I never wanted it…… :’(

Thanks for the Happy Birthday BTW!!!

Answer #4

Happy Birthday! :) Maybe this year you can pretend you love it just to keep the peace, then in future years on Christmas and Birthdays you could ask them for something before they have brought you the present. You’d get something you want, and they would feel happy for getting you something you want. It would probably cost less than what they were going to get you anyway! Out of curiosity, what is the present?

Well that’s pretty cool, it’s not like you will have no use for it. It will be helpful when studying and stuff on the bus.
