yes, there are world wide competitions to compete against eachother.. there are different catergories. pairs, dance, mens, womens, and juniors of same catergories.. so yes its a huge sport all around the world

I’m pretty sure that it is, i’d consider it a sport anyway, figure skaters have a huge amount of training and have to do alot of physically demanding things.
