How to stop feeling so insecure and anxious about my future?

I’ve been really feeling not sure of what my future would be… I mean, I go and do my exams (I’m in college), I pass them but somehow I can’t be like most people - ‘’ I don’t give a * about it, let’s go get drunk’’. No matter how hard I try I find myself worrying about the upcoming exam and thinking what would happen if I fail. I don’t know; probably my self-esteem is not one of the best, but do you people know what I can do in order to stop feeling so insecure and anxious about my future? Any help will be appriciated. Thank you very much.

What you can do is do what feels natural to you. Life is not about partying, but it is not about business all the time either. Base your future on what makes you happy. If you feel that you are doing all that you can to secure your future then don’t be so hard on yourself about doing all that you can to focus on those things. There will always be time for everything in your life if you want to make time for it. Those that party and have fun, properly just feel that they need that self relief inorder to deal with there pressure of college. But you may not need that relief and you may not ever need it. That might not be the type of person you are. Be happy with the goals you are trying to achieve, and take it one day at a time. It will work out. College is hard, but it seems like you are taking it by storm. Don’t feel bad about that.

I agree with shadows2weaves20. I did some seminars on setting goals. The best thing to do is write down what you want to accomplish. Then the next thing just before you accomplish it, then the thing just before that. Do this until you get to where you are right now and do the first thing on the list, followed by the second. It works, it gets your mind off worrying and you start feeling empowered.
