Fat on the ribcage?

Ok so I am actually really skinny but for some reason there is fat on my ribcage? What should I do? It makes me look like 10 pounds heavier, and its sooo annoying! Help me!

Hi,

There is no such thing as spot reduction — that is, losing weight from one particular part of the body and keeping it elsewhere. Exercises designed specifically for strengthening and toning your upper abdominals won’t get rid of any excess fat in that area. They will only tone the muscle underlying the fat.

The best way to lose excess kilos is by increasing the amount of aerobic exercise you are doing. For example, if you walk three times a week, bump it up to five times per week. Try steadily increasing the intensity at which you exercise. Best fat-burning results are achieved when you work out at 60-80 percent of your maximum heart rate. The formula is 220 minus your age, then work out at 60-80 per cent of that. Increase the intensity of your work-outs incrementally.
