Family drama

Ok…my dads continuely getting into these “rages” were he slams things throws stuff and screams at the top of his lungs…is there anything I could do to calm him down before this stuff gets completely out of control…when I try and “divert” his attention he just gets madder and generally he gets mad over little things…like not being able to find a battery charger…and a garage door left open…pplz help before this gets any worse…

hi , just wanna to tell you silence is golden, the best thing one can do when in a situation, where some ones flying off the handle is to be quiet and dont feed into it ,try it you see and the boy friend thing (movin in with him) not good you,ll be grown soon enough, I no its not easy but you can do it ,you,ll make it, have a blessed day!

I am sorry to hear that. It must be tough,but the only thing you could do is get some proffesioanl advise how to cope with his behaivour. It seems your dad is suffering from a passive agrassive nouratic personality disorder and the only way he can get better is through extensive theropy to deal with root of the anger which is almost 100% has to do with his childhood. Unless your father admits he has a personality disorder and he is willing to get proffesional help, his anger will worsen. By the way where is your mother in all of this? All the best to you.

My mom is not longer in the picture and my sister is never home she stays with her friends …which is what I would do but my little brother is stuck here…so I stay with him..

hunn.. my parents are divoreced.. buht nothing like that would EVER happen in my house.. I dont really have much good advice for this but waht id do is.. get your dad when hes calm and in a good mood sitting down or something.. and talk to him about it…see if he’ll go to an angermangement class or something.. !!! thats all I have to say hunn l0l <3 I wish you the best of luck ;) <3
