What could cause your eye lid to swell up ?

I noticed it yesterday, but my left eyelid was just a little swollen yesterday, & today if my eyes open it looks like it’s half closed. <.< Could it be from makeup ? I had to wear alot of eye makeup for a dance performace. Could it be from the pink eye crap ? I had pink eye like two weeks ago in the same eye & missed like a whole week of school for it. Crying ? Whaaat. Dx I’m gonna have to tell my mom about it because it kinda hurts but when i do shes gonna flip out & be like YOUR PINK EYES BACK YOU HAVE TO MISS MORE SCHOOL NOOOOOOO. & yeah. Then i’m probably gonna go to the doctors. Then i’m probably gonna miss school for forever again. Any suggestions ? -.-

If you’re allergic to anything or maybe there’s something in your eye. Also if you got hit. Maybe because you’re rubbing your eye.

It can be caused by alot of things, makeup that got into your eye and caused irritation, an infection, a stye, pink eye, crying, rubbing your eye, etc. If its half swollen and youve recently had pink eye i would go back to the doctor to get checked out.

I’m not using anything new tho. I did get hit in the face with a stick on thursday evening but only my right side of my face & most of my nose hurts for that, & thsi is my left eye thats swollen.
