Do we have to be extra careful when others are scared of a particular subject?

Answer #1

When talking about contraversial subjects it really depends on the place the discussion is being held and who you are talking to as to how much you should say. If its a work environment then its best to avoid those topics all together, or to decline a comment when they are being talked about. If its between friends, i guage it by the person im talking to. If its someone with an open mind or that i know can hold a mature debate without getting their feeings hurt, i wont hold back and will speak my opinion. If its a friend thats more conservative i usually just change the subject because id rather not hurt their feelings or start an argument.

What exactly do you mean if people are scared of a subject. I wouldnt want to cause someone anxiety, so I would probably be extra careful. For example if someone had been ra.ped and the subject was sexual assaults, one should probably be extra careful. When it comes to controversial subjects it depends on the situation. I won’t tiptoe around something just because you don’t like what I’m saying…
