Is taking an extra BCP extra safe?

Ideally the gal should have been on the BCP REGULARLY for one month before prior to any sex. And in this case, NO additional protection is given by an extra pill.

If she had not been on ANY BCP before hand, the pill the day of plus the one next day will do nothing. Instead she should - AS SOON AS POSSIBLE - get the morning after pill - PLAN B. Any pharmacy in the US can sell it to ANYONE who is at least 17 years old. Also available at Planned Parenthood clinics. There is a caveat …. if the girl’s ovaries have already released an egg, Plan B will do nothing.

So, it is best to get on the pill (99.4% effective), use condoms (97%), or use the Plan B (70-85%). Because getting pregnant will totally change your life. And if you are not really prepared and mature, that life is not going to be easy. Good Luck!!
