Explain the difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes in terms

of pathophysiology including the production of insulin.

Answer #1

One is where you have to take insulin. and the other you only have to check your sugar and try to keep it in the right area on your oown. But im not sure which is which. Did that help at all?

Answer #2

I know type 2 is worst than type 1

Answer #3

Type 1 is worse than type 2.

Type 1 is where your body is insulin deficient so you MUST take insulin shots a couple of times everyday. I believe it is known as Juvenile Diabetes and usually starts in childhood.

Type 2 is where either your body doesn’t produce enough insulin and/or where your body’s cells aren’t able to use it efficiently. Type 2 usually starts later in life and can be caused by obesity and/or bad eating habits. It can usually be controlled by diet, exercise and pills.

I believe that both types can lead to serious health problems, amputations and death if not seriously dealt with and controlled.
