What should I expect with letting my monroe close?

I took out the jewlrey to my monroe last night cause I want it to close & now that I look at it (I know I can’t put anything in it) on the outside it’s kind of like a clear whitish bump on the hole. Will it go away/what can i do to make it heal faster/go away/blahblahblah ? Thanks,

It depends how long you’ve had it pierced for. If it’s a really old piercing and it’s healed and everything then it’ll get smaller and smaller but it’ll never fully go away. If it’s fairly new then there’s a chance it’ll get small enough to not be noticeable, if it’s really new then it should heal up and you’ll probably get a tiny scar or little indent. If you want it to heal faster then just make sure you keep it clean to prevent infections (if it’s newish) because infections will just encourage it to scar even more. good luckkk

I don’t know what the clear whitish bump on the hole is, but other than that, the healing time will vary from person to person. I’m lucky in a sense that I heal very very very fast (I had a 00g in my ear and took it out, it closed overnight completely flat, couldn’t get an earring stud in it!). Some people may take months for piercing holes to heal, whereas some people take days or just a week or two. Depending on how you took care of it when it had a stud in it, depends on whether or not you will have a scar. You will most likely have a dot there for quite a long time though it will fade out over the months and hopefully be gone in like 2 years.

I think you should just wait for it to heal, and keep it clean!!! Wash it with piercing solution every day to keep the germs away while it’s healing over.

My ears do that too, but that’s way fast. (x Thanks. (:

I’ve had it since december 28th, it healed & was fine. But for the past two weeks it’s been hurting & had yellow crust in the mornings so I decided it’s time for it to go, but I guess its fairly new. Thanks. (:

Oh just a warning, if the main reason for you taking it out is that it’s possibly infected then I wouldn’t recommend that you take it out. With an infected piercing the recommendation is always to leave it in and continue to clean it. Taking it out can encourage an infection to rage. Just saying… good luck :)

I thought it was infected cause it was owie, but it closed, & it’s perfectly fine. Just a lttle bit of reddness & that’s it, but thank you. (:
