monroe complications

I have had my monroe for over a year and just recently I was trying to get it out and could not so I had my boyfriend try, I was trying, the damn ball just would not come undone, so I started freaking and trying REALLY hard to get it out. probably not the best idea, it is now a little bit swollen (nothing big just something I notice) and the flatback is going into my lip..something I have not experienced since the first time I got it done. I’ve had it done about 3 times. But I was just wondering what I should do about this, have I had it long enough to take out and let the inside of my lip heal?

Yes, I think you will be fine. I have snakebites and I have only had them for about eleven months and I can take them out for weeks at a time and I don’t have complications putting them back in and they don’t close up or anything so I think you will be fine. Although if you think it is infected, I would highly recomend leaving it in and just using a luke warm salt water salute until it gets better, because if it does happen to close up and it is infected, that can trap the infection inside and then it can spread and become nearly impossible to get rid of.
