Answer #1

Anorexia is an eating disorder where people starve themselves. Anorexia usually begins in young people around the onset of puberty. Individuals suffering from anorexia have extreme weight loss. Weight loss is usually 15% below the person’s normal body weight. People suffering from anorexia are very skinny but are convinced that they are overweight. Weight loss is obtained by many ways. Some of the common techniques used are excessive exercise, intake of laxatives and not eating.

Answer #2

Anorexia is an eating disorder characterized by the refusal to maintain a normal body weight and intense fear of gaining weight. Now, it could be done by restriction of food (i.e. starvation), or it could be done through other methods (purging, laxatives, etc). People with anorexia have a distorted body image, they also tend to stop having their periods and refuse to admit how serious their weight loss is.

Answer #3

Its actually a mental disease, its like a fun house mirror, u see one thing but the person with anorexia sees something else, its not always about weight either, that is a misconception, basically its how someone deals with thr problems, u know how u get mad and express urself? Well that’s what anorexics do, when they get mad, instead of yelling or anything like that well they just don’t eat instead. It is very dangerous to have this disease, I struggle with it everyday an it doesn’t exactly get easier

You need to have been here a certain amount of time to post links, I’m not sure where you got this from, but maybe just put the name of the site as a reference.

Answer #5

It is where people starve themselves, but it isn’t about that! For people with anorexia, it is mainly about control. They find that they cannot control things that have or are happening in the life so they turn to food for control. It is the one thing in their life which they feel they can control. Then is spirals out of control from there. If you have any questions please feel free to ask! :)
