Early Labor

OK so tomorrow I will be 36 weeks and I lhave a few questions. My doctor said that at 37 weeks the baby’s lung should be fully developed and after that it would be safe for me to go into early labor I wanted to know if anyone else has heard something different?? I also wanted to know what are some ways to make yourself go into labor maybe a week or 2 early my doctor won’t be there around my due date and I only trust him and he said me going into labor a week or 2 early wouldn’t hurt me or the baby but I want to know some safe ways to maybe help the process along you know and please no one tell me anything about that stupid OIL I forgot the full name it starts with a C though it’s a old myth and all it really does it make you violently ill my friend tried that and it doesn’t work it actually can hurt your baby. anyways will someone please help me with this.

I agree with ty. Plus you really have not known any other doctor, why not give them a chance. They are there to help you. As for the baby’s lungs, I had mine at 36 and he was perfectly ok.

I honestly doubt your doctor would advocate you trying to induce labor… so how about you just let nature take its course?

First, you need to contact:

and ask her to correct your birth date on your profile.

I’d suggest that you either have your doctor induce early labor OR get acquainted with the doctor who will be taking his place while he is gone. I’d actually recommend the latter because the more time you give your baby in the womb, the better off it will be.
