ear piercing doesn't stay in one spot

My daughters ear piercing gradually moves down her ear lobe. We re-pierced her ear when she was 11 because the hole had moved almost to the end of her ear lobe. She is now 16 and once again the hole has traveled almost to the end of her lobe. Is there something that can be done to keep the hole where it starts?

as it sounds to me, your daughters ear piercing is doing an annoying thing called “migrating”. migration occurs when the person who has been pierced is either allergic to the jewelery, bad placement, or the earring is too small of a guage. I dont know if this will help but, when I got my monroe done, my piercer pierced me with a bigger gauge (14g) than I wanted. I wanted a 16g instead but he insisted that I should get a 14g to help prevent migration. so maybe if you try gaugeing her earring to a bigger size maybe thatll help? normal earrings (standard earrings) are about a 20g in size, if you dont want hugee gauges ( I dont know your daughters style but my style would suit a bigger gauge, I have 14gs in and I also have 9 piercings :] ) but newaiz if you dont want huge gauges, get an 18 or 16g, I have a 16g in my monroe and it looks almost normal sized. so hopefully this helped if you have nemore questions, email me :).

rejection. but if your using a piercing gun, the risk is worse. try going to a tattoo & piercing place to get it repierced. that is mainly the only way to fix this, if even. hope this helped.

the above is right her body is rejecting the piercing there isnt much you can do about it just not get the same area pierced again and its probably best to get the earring taken out

Answer #4

this is called rejection, certain people are just more prone to it. Also if your using a piercing gun this increases the risk of rejection. Go to a piercer and ask them
