How to cure dry skin?

I have dry skin all over my face, I have tried vasalene, vitamine E, and a lot of other things.. whats a good lotion for my face? Do you people go to the doctor for dry skin?

is this a chronic thing?

I’ve been battling dry skin for 20 years now and have found that there are certain things that you can do.

for one, showers are the devil when it comes to dry skin, try baths, with E oil in the water, after getting out, before drying off, put a thick sealant on, like bag balm to seal the moisture in. avoid lotion that has any kind of perfume in it.

if you have developed lacerations from the dry skin (like in between your eyes) that will not heal, the take super glue and put it over the cut, this will hurt like hell for about a minute, but it stops the cut from spreading and will allow it to heal.

it could be allergies, or any number of other things.

recently I had to take an antibiotic for my skin because it developed an infection. your doctor can help you out with any of this, try an allergist or dermatologist.

it’s really a lifestyle to fight chronic dry skin.

oh and also, be sure to drink tons of water.

You probably have dry skin because the face soap your using is too harsh for your skin. Try using Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (I use this and I really like how it has my face soft and smooth and doesnt dry it out) also try using a moisturizer like Dove sensitive Essentials or any other moisturizer that’s non comedegenic (won’t clog your pores).

And yeah if the problem continues see your dermatologist
