Can you dry faux leather?

Alright so I have a faux leather jacket, I had to wash it because it smelled like my dog which washing it is fine according to the label but I want to wear it tonight out with some friends. The label says tumble dry no heat, I did that but it’s still pretty wet.. I have an hour an doubt hanging dry will get anything accomplished and it’s cold and I don’t feel like wearing a damp or wet jacket.. So my question is could I dry it on low heat for a short period of time like 15-20 minutes just to help the process along.. I don’t wanna damage the jacket, it’s a little big so if it shrunk a little I wouldn’t complain but I’d hate to ruin it.. Anyways just wondering would low heat for a short period of time really hurt it?!

Answer #4

Yes! Just be delicate with in, and make sure you turn it inside out.

Answer #5

you should not use heat because it will melt, if you hang dry it, it will dry stiff and be uncomfortable and may crack when bent by normal movement.
