Water most deffinately. It cleans out your system much better then any flavored drink. Never drink a Monster or Rockstar (even more then 2 in a day) Its not the best and having that like having soda and iced tea are also not the best to drink daily during the week. So do yourself good and drink lots of water. But, if ur playing a sport like; lets say soccer then yeah its your choice to drink an energy drink or water.
Water is better to drink if you are just thirsty, but if you are sweating and going to continue to partake into a game or something its better to drink Gatorade/ Powerade because when you sweat you loss sodium and other minerals and Gatorade was made to replenish those lost minerals.
Water is best but during times of excessive sweating, drink something with a balance of electrolytes. Drinking too much water while sweating removes sodium from your system and you are already doing that in your sweat.
