Why do both of my dogs (pincher & doberman) love licking baby powder off the floor or off of me?!
I cant get them to stop once they get into this licking mode and I hate being mean but hey I dont like slobbering all over me! Is it Normal for dogs to be so obsessed with licking baby powder?! Have you had a dog that was obsessed with licking baby powder too & if so how do I make them stop so they wont get sick from it?! Thanks in advance!
Maybe it’s not the taste, it’s the smell. It’s possible that they think it smells so good they just keep licking away at it, even though I ‘ve accidently gotten baby powder in my mouth and it was gross. Do they have a kennel or something? Maybe you could give them time-outs when they do it.

Thought perhaps maybe other people that have dogs have experienced this so perhaps someone might shed some light on it!

Lotions, powder, even plain old water….it’s just a dog thing…all breeds.

lol, thanks so much, I know you are right…we called the dog trainer & he will be coming over next Friday for their first lessons…maybe he can finally get my doberman to stop jumping up on me & scratching me…I mean i know she does it to show affection, but its really killing me and I have tried to be patient because she is only 4 months old maybe a bit more but it kills me to yell at her because i just love dogs.
