Dog going Blind?

Female, English Bulldog, Gracie has recently had discharges coming from her right eye. It’s very stringy. Took her to the vet, she gave us some prescription eye drops which helped some, but now it seems that the right eye has a white film over her eyeball and you can barely see the middle of her eye. I can’t take her to the vet until the lst of the month because I am a disabiled veteran and my check only comes once a month. She has always been taken care of, but this has me scared to death. Do you believe that she could be going blind in that eye? Thank you for any information , pam

Hi.. I don’t think she will go blind. The most probable cause of the white film is due to the eye drop you are using for her. This might be a temporary change to the outer layer of her eye. why I said so is because, my pet had the same kinda problem but he had tears in his eyes. After using some eye drop, a white layer appeared and also disappeared in one week time.

Well, assuming things are not advisable. Hence you may try calling the doctor who prescribed the eye drop. Also you can mention the name of medicine, so that one can have any idea on that.
